This privacy policy “Privacy Policy” contains important information regarding C'Office ("C'Office", "us", "our", or "we"), and how and why we collect, store, use, and share your personal information. It also explains your rights in relation to your personal information and how to contact us in the event you have a complaint.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using SelfID Photo mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you consent to the collection, transfer, process, storage, disclosure, and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, then please do not use the App.
This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of our App after we revise this Privacy Policy means you accept those changes, so please check the Privacy Policy periodically for updates.
Applicability of this privacy policy
This policy covers how our App treats personal data collected, including data related to the use of the App. Personal data is defined as personally identifiable information such as your name, e-mail address or phone number, face data and information which are not publicly available.
This policy has no legal force on companies which are not own or affiliated by our App, and is not applicable to any person who are not hired or managed by our App.
Collection and usage of personal data
We may collect and use the following personal data in our app:
Face detection
The App uses face detection technology in camera experience.
- This face detection technology is provided by Apple's Vision framework.
- The App uses face detection to locate your face position with respect to the camera's view, and provide audio guidance to position yourself when taking the photo.
- During the process, the App also detect facial marks to determine whether your eyes are closed, or any objects obscuring your eyebrows.
- The App does not use such information for identifying user or any person. This face information is processed in real-time in your phone for providing the above features.
- The App will not store any of this face information.
- The App will not transmit this face information outside of the App (and your phone).
- You must expressly consent to our usage of such face detection technology and data in order to use the App and you may not use the App without providing such express consent.
Person segmentation
The App also uses person segmentation technology to replace background of the taken photo.
- This person segmentation technology is provided by Apple's Vision framework.
- The App uses person segmentation to generate matte image of you after the photo is taken.
- The matte image is used for masking the background from the original photo, and replace the original background with solid-color.
- This person segmentation information is processed in real-time in your phone for replacing original background.
- The App will not store any of this person segmentation information.
- The App will not transmit this person segmentation information outside of the App (and your phone).
- You must expressly consent to our usage of such person segmentation technology and data in order to use the App and you may not use the App without providing such express consent.
Your photograph
The App stores your photograph.
- The main purpose of the App is to shoot ID photos for yourself by yourself, all these photos are stored within the App's document directory.
- Only you can use the App to transmit photo outside the App.
- You can delete these photographs at any time.
Disclosure and sharing of personal data
We would not rent, sell or disclose your personal data with other people or non affiliated companies.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Privacy Policy, we may preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect our or our users’ rights or property. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your information.
Removal of information
Your photograph
You, at any time, can remove the photographs stored in the App's document directory. Choose Album and press Edit, then select the album(s) that you want to remove and hit the Trash icon. Once you remove an album, all photographs dervied from the album's original photograph will also be removed and cannot be recovered.
How long we keep your information
Face information
The face information obtained from the face detection technology is used only in response to your face position with respect to the camera's view. This information will not be retained once your face position in the capture screen is located.
The facial landmarks obtained from the face detection technology is used to determine whether your eyes and eyebrows are obscured. This information will not be retained once the photograph is taken or the job is cancelled.
Person segmentation information
The person segmentation information is used to generate a mask for replacing the original background right after the photograph is taken. This information be not be retained once all photographs are generated.
Your photograph
It is your choice to keep the photographs in the App.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
We may modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time, so please review it periodically. We may provide you additional forms or notice of modifications or updates as appropriate under the circumstances. Your continued use of the App after any modification to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such modification.
